The Hong Kong Fashion Council (HKFC) is thrilled to announce the upcoming launch of the Hong Kong Fashion Fest, which will take place in November 2024, with the support of the Cultural and Creative Industries Development Agency (CCIDA) The week-long event will showcase a series of fashion programmes, offering a unique platform for both established and emerging designers from around the world to present their latest collections. This exciting news was revealed during an exclusive cocktail event held in Paris, amidst the buzz of Paris Fashion Week. The event attracted international fashion icons, influencers, and media partners, showcasing Hong Kong's burgeoning role as a global fashion hub.


The exclusive Paris cocktail event offered international guests an exciting first look at the future of Hong Kong Fashion Fest. Among the distinguished attendees were Susie Bubble, Bryanboy, Yoyo Cao, Elva Ni, Molly Chiang, and fashion leaders from global brands like Balenciaga, Chanel, Galeries Lafayette, Louis Vuitton, Shanghai Tang and Vivienne Tam celebrating this highly anticipated event. Set for November, Hong Kong Fashion Fest kpromises a vibrant lineup of runway shows, immersive exhibitions and activations, fashion summits, and interactive workshops, showcasing the city's cultural fusion of East and West.


Hon. Sunny TAN, Chairman of Hong Kong Fashion Council, emphasised the importance of Hong Kong Fashion Design Week for both local and global fashion industries. “We are thrilled to announce the set-up of Hong Kong Fashion Council during Paris Fashion Week, an iconic moment in the fashion calendar. Coordinating the fashion event calendar in Hong Kong is a challenging project, but we are excited to work with all the fashion entities together to present an array of fashion events that reflect our city’s creative energy and our role as a bridge between international and regional fashion,” Tan added.


The Hong Kong Fashion Council (HKFC), a not-for-profit public corporation, is a key driver behind the Hong Kong Fashion Fest. With the mission to harness Hong Kong’s multicultural identity and position the city as a leading global fashion influencer, HKFC is committed to promote sustainability, drive innovation, and enhance cross-cultural collaboration, ensuring that our diverse heritage shapes the future of fashion. As the official host, HKFC plays a pivotal role in promoting both emerging and established designers, further solidifying Hong Kong’s position as a vital gateway between Eastern and Western fashion.


Bridging East and West, Hong Kong as a Global Fashion Hub


Hong Kong Fashion Fest is designed to showcase both established and emerging talents from around the world, celebrating fashion in all its diverse forms. The event will also spotlight Hong Kong as a hub for cutting-edge creativity and serve as a vital platform for cross-cultural exchanges between the East and the West.


Building on the Chief Executive’s 2023 policy address, which emphasised a commitment to advancing the fashion industry, This will be a flagship initiative for Hong Kong’s cultural, creative and tourism industries, offering a prominent stage to showcase both local and international fashion and textile brands.
